The ice and snow around Enterprise has melted, runoff in the lake has left it somewhat murky and stained with about 3 feet of visibility. The upper reservoir isn't quite full but is in a good level from the winter snow pack. The lower reservoir is quite low. Trout fishing this weekend was slow, had a few good strikes but was unable to put a rainbow in the boat. Trout are suspended somewhat deep still. Fished along rip raps and rock cliffs and pile for smallmouth bass. The smallies are not huge but starting to feed actively and were on fire for anything small and looking like a crawfish. Best success was fishing along the northern cliffs where the ledges would drop from 20 to 40 feet deep. Used a motor oil colored TRD ned craw on 1/15 oz nedlock hook. They loved it! If you want a fun time with the kids and have some fast and fun fishing with a hard fighting smallies, this is the way to do it in southern Utah. There are only a few places to go in the southern part of the state for smallies and this will get you bit.
