Hey- Grundy Bassman here. I hammered em today out on old Heidecke. Bass were biting the orange colored rattle baits today. I normally charge $49.99 for this info but I’ll give it out free today. The retrieve was a simple yo yo. Cast out, let the bait hit the bottom, let it sit for 2-3 seconds, then a quick snap up and repeat. The fish hit on the fall and you’ll set the hook on the next snap up. Try the RAT’L trap first then mix it up and see what works best. You’re going to catch some walleye too. As always, good luck and until next time I’ll see you in the woods and on the water. The Grundy Bassman

Targeting rocky rip rap banks. The water is too cold for spawning, but the fiah are definetly moving up. I was slowly dragging the jig along the rocks. The lighter the jig, the better. I was utilizing a BFS setup casting a 1/8 oz jig. Caught probably 20+ bass with most being in the 1lb range, a handful of 2-3lbers and the 5lber in the photo. Was a great fight on the bfs setup!

Took a lot of casting around and walking to find the area that worked the best. Super Shallow around the edges, but there are a few hard spots to cast to from the bank.

Water temps were still pretty cold, tried to force some moving baits but found the most success yo-yo-ing a blade bait off of points in deeper water.

The bass were on a feeding frenzy before the storm fronts rolled in and dropped temps after a warming period. Bass were chasing shad so I stuck with spinnerbaits majority of the day. I did also get one on a Jackhammer and a shallow crankbait.

It was a cold morning fish are super lethargic. Had to finesse so I threw on the trusty Nedrig, worked it super slow. It was a light bite that I didn’t even feel it, the good thing is I use 10lbs yo zuri super braid /yellow and I was Abe to see slack line tighten up

Caught 5 Bass 1.5lbs to 2lbs on the jerkbait on a Megabass Destroyer Winbuster spinning rod, my new favorite jerkbait rod. Caught a 5lbs Bass dredging bottom with the Dirty Jigs Pivot Point football jig on a Megabass Destroyer BMG casting rod, a great rod for bottom contact wobble/pivot head jig and worm rigs.
