Fished brush and any wood that was in 5-6 feet of water. Getting a reaction to cause a strike was the key to getting some of the bigger bites.

It’s springtime, and even through the water did still very cold, these fish are hitting the red hard. The Fire Craw CrossEyeZ works great with a Hog Farmer trailer. Just chuck and wind in 2’-8’ of water. The new Mastiff line casts like a dream, so you can get that lure way out there!

These largemouth had just begun to move up shallow. This War Eagle with a Keitech combo work great. I used the new Shimano Mastiff fluorocarbon, and it worked great. Just slow roll it through the weeds near laydowns. The bass hit hard, and were choking the spinnerbait.

Hot day on the water! Water temp is rising and the fish are hiding under docks and in cover. Caught most of our fish under docks. Also went with black/blue because of the water clarity.

All over the place as far as baits go. Went through the whole box and caught one or two fish on everything. Surprisingly fewer hits around all the dead wood on the far side of the lake. Also pretty interesting how skinny the bass were, example in the pic.

The Magdraft is just so versatile. Just cast and retrieve at a slow speed. Just set the hook when you feel a bass bump it. It works so well. Use it near rocks, humps, or weeds.

Bass are in between their spawning patterns and summer patterns. Look for them along weed lines and seeking shade during the heat of the day. Use a 6th Sense Crush Flat 75XD to search for them along area where they can seek cover in the early mornings hours. Just chuck and wind with a reel, reel, pause cadence. You’ll be on them in no time.

Mostly fished the south eastern shore where it's semi-natural along the bank. Fished thru sundown on a warm day. Fish in photo is biggest I've caught on that lake. Most fish hit on first two twitches.

8 fish presented at weigh-in larger than 12", 4 largemouth, 4 smallmouth. We caught several smaller fish, mostly smallmouth, rock bass and perch the majority using Lucky Craft and Megabass jerk baits with a few caught on drop shots. Finished out of the money but had more largemouth than any other team.

Most of the largemouth are in the middle of the spawn right now. Some have finished, and some have yet to spawn. Cruise the shallows and cast this Chatterbait with the Spunk Shad Pintail as a trailer. Just cast and retrieve, nothing fancy. You won’t catch a bunch of small fish with this presentation, but the few you catch will be picture worthy.

Smallmouth are making beds. Move in shallow (1’-4’ of water) and look for light circles on the lakebed. Sometimes these will have a darker circle of weeds in the middle. They often will be near structure like a boulder or dock. Pitch the Roboworm Alive Shad onto the bed and twitch it a couple times, then let us rest for 3-4 seconds. You should be able to catch a fish off of almost every bed. It’s extremely productive.

Another day of fishing beds. Found this one sitting around 4 to 5 feet of water on her bed. Tossed the Yamatanuki a couple times and she slammed it. Great fight! Liberty Lake right now is heating up. Throw any kind of creature bait on the beds and you will catch them!
