Alright y'all we are here at Lake Fork and we actually had a we're on a back-to-back Elite Series tournament swing and we started off at Toledo Bend and had actually a really good tournament ended up finishing in second place. I had two really good bags on day two and day four ended up with 30 pounds and 29 pounds for those two days and the first and the third day just kind of really got by.

It was fishing was kind of tough at times. The thing was the fish were moving. The water temp was warming up. We had a full moon. I thought the fish were heading to spawn. You know using the Omnia PRO app you could tell looking at the water layers, the water temperature layer where the creeks really warming up. That's kind of what I was focusing on but that's not really kind of what played out in the tournament. I really thought those fish were going to pull up and spawn but what I found was that the bait fish were really keying in on those warmer areas and I had to follow the bait. That was the biggest thing.

I caught most of my fish on a damiki rig with a VMC Hybrid Swim Bait head with a fluke style bait on there. That's a Zoom Super Fluke and following it up with a Zoom Magnum Swamp Crawler neko rig. This is what I caught some of my biggest fish on in the tournament because they would be next to grass edges on timber lines and so what I was doing was mainly just following the bait following the fish looking for creeks that had warm water and really kind of just chasing the wind. My main pattern was to stay with the fish every day and sometimes I'd have to go two miles to find the fish again. So I would just stay on the trolling motor, caught most of my fish using forward facing sonar. That was really the kind of trend of Toledo been but all in all had a great tournament, ended up with 95 pounds for four days. Not too bad. So now we're at Lake Fork. Let's see if we can catch us a big bag this week.
