SoMo Fish Co

Lake Taneycomo (MO)

SoMo Fish Co reported catching Trout using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Temple Fork Outfitters Trout-Panfish Series Spinning Rods - EOL on Lake Taneycomo. Additional comments from this report: "Spent the afternoon in the trophy area on Taneycomo. It was the first day with only a 1/2 unit running and the fishing was good and the size was great. We caught multiple fish in the 17-19” range and a beautiful 22 1/4” rainbow. All fish were caught on a scud and size didn’t really seem to matter it was all about getting the drift right. Caught them on mostly light gray tied on a hayabusa 384 fly size 14 and 16. Get out and enjoy the resource! See you on the water! SoMo Fish Co 417-838-3122"

St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods

$190.00 – $210.00

Reported by
Trevor Ives

Long Lake (WI)

Trevor Ives reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods on Long Lake . Additional comments from this report: "Fish were sitting on the first break waiting to move up shallow. Most fish came at 10-12 feet of water. A slow straight retrieve with a marabou hair jig was the bite getter. "

Reported by
Ben Korhonen

Lake Vermilion (MN)

Ben Korhonen reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods on Lake Vermilion. Additional comments from this report: "The bite was better shallow although there was some fish deep on offshore humps. The key to the shallow bite was moving baits so you didn’t get hung up in the rocks. The hair jig seemed to work pretty good since you could still fish it pretty slow on a straight retrieve and not get hung up and it produced some quality bites. Other baits like top water and spinnerbaits worked well too. "

Ghallz84

Keuka Lake (NY)

Ghallz84 reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods on Keuka Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Look for sand and gravel flats. Throw out and slow roll back. Nothing to big today but doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be different. "

St. Croix Legend Elite Spinning Rods

$445.00 – $485.00

Reported by
Noah Glitto

Chippewa Flowage (WI)

Noah Glitto reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and St. Croix Legend Elite Spinning Rods on Chippewa Flowage. Additional comments from this report: "Water temps approaching 50 degree the smallies are starting to move closer to shore. Fish could be found in 12'-8' of water in sand rock transitions with stumps in the area. targeting stumps would almost always guarantee a bite. Slow dragging hair jigs picked off the roamers in the flats and transitions while finesse jigs and ned rigs were more effective near stumps. Color of the hair jig didn't make a difference. Using lighter braided line resulted in longer casts to cover more water and helped keep the boat away from scaring the fish. 360 imaging played a large role in making accurate casts on the transitions and dropping baits on stumps. Fish caught varied from 1lb-3lbs but if you want to catch a ton of bass this is the place to do it."

Tenmile Lake (MN)

Omnia Community Member reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and St. Croix Legend Elite Spinning Rods on Tenmile Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Fish were cruising the shallows everywhere. We nabbed a few on jerkbaits, and tried other usual suspects for early season smallies. Eventually tossed a hair jig and after finding out how they wanted it presented ( you'll have to figure that out) it was lights out! We had numerous doubles and many fish in the 4-5 lb range, it being a weekday, we had them all to ourselves! "
