St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods

$190.00 – $210.00

Reported by
Nate Nipper

Mille Lacs Lake (MN)

Nate Nipper reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Soft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium) technique and St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Keyed in on sharper breaks on the flats in 14-17 feet of water. Cover water with the Smallie Smasher and Keitech and then when you run into a couple, slow down with the Hail Mary Ned and pick off a couple extra big ones."

Reported by
Aaron

Petenwell Lake (WI)

Aaron reported catching Northern Pike using the Soft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium) technique and St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods on Petenwell Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Slow rolling the smaller swimmer along current seams was key for nice pike. Weighting the swimmer with 1/4 oz of more was also important to keep the bait down in the water column. Less current the better or even retrieve the bait with the current rather than against it. Take a kid fishing!"

Reported by
Walleye Sly

Lake Red Rock (IA)

Walleye Sly reported catching Walleye using the Soft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium) technique and St. Croix Victory Spinning Rods on Lake Red Rock. Additional comments from this report: "I landed this 10lb - 29” hog beneath the damn using a 1/4 jig head and 3” ripple shad. I was dragging across rocks using a super slow retrieval with 5-10 second pauses. "

St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinning Rods - EOL

$150.00

Reported by
Jason Halfen

Pool 4 - Redwing Dam (WI)

Jason Halfen reported catching Walleye using the Soft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium) technique and St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinning Rods - EOL on Pool 4 - Redwing Dam. Additional comments from this report: "Oct 31 2020. Temp 43-44; Stage 3.5 ft; Flow 18,200 Fall fishing for walleye, sauger, crappies and more remains in full swing on Pool 4 of the Mississippi River. Staying mobile and flexible, as always when fishing the river, remains the key. Our best bite for a mixed bag of 15-22" sauger and walleye was to pull Dubuque Rigs upstream along well-defined current seams. A Dubuque Rig is a modified 3-way rig that presents two jigs tipped with ringworms: a heavy "bottom" jig, typically 1/2 oz, and a 1/16 oz "top" jig. Each is connected to a 3-way swivel with a Seaguar InvizX leader: ~ 20" long to the bottom jig and ~ 10" long to the top jig. Lower the rig to the bottom and slowly pull upstream, 0.1-0.3 mph, zig-zagging across the seam and hitting both the faster and slower water. Key depths for us today were 18-24' for daytime walleye and sauger. If you want to try something different - try your hand at some slab crappies. Look to rocky flats that have gentle current across them and sharp breaks into the main channel. Excellent numbers of 10-13" crappies and some bonus bull gills are available. Pitch 1/16 oz jigs tipped with minnows or 2" minnow-profile soft plastics across the flats and enjoy!"

Ned rigs caught a higher quantity of bass but most were small. "
